Self-Acceptance - Develops an understanding of self and encourages a positive attitude towards self.
Self-Actualisation - Encourages people to move towards fulfilling their potential.
Relating to Others - Improves a persons ability to form and maintain meaningful and satisfying relationships.
Problem Solving - Allows an individual to acknowledge and find a solution to a problem and improve problem-solving skills.
Psychological Education - Develops knowledge about specific problems and treatments. Allows people to learn new ideas and techniques to help them understand and control thoughts and behaviours.
Social Skills - :Allows the person to learn and enhance skills which can lead to an improvement in communication.
Cognitive Change - Encourages individuals to learn how to modify or restructure unhelpful thinking or overthinking.
Behaviour Change - Encourages people to learn how to modify or change self-destructive behaviours.
Systemic Change - Allows change to take place within social circles, such as families or the work place.
Empowerment - Allows individuals to take control of their lives and make amends for any previous destructive behaviour.
